VIDEORECIPE The easiest massaman curry slow cooker recipe
Massaman curry is one of the most known dishes in Thai cuisine. Following this recipe, you are going to cook an authentic homemade version.
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 35 g Mae Jum Massaman Curry Paste
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon Palm sugar
- 400 ml coconut milk
- 350 g Stewing Beef
- 300 g g potatoes
- 200 ml water
- 2 small onions
- 50 g cherry tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon Tamarind paste
- 50 g hazelnuts
- red chilli
Peel and chop the potato and onions.
Chop the cherry tomatoes
Cut the beef into cubes
In a frying pan, roast the peanuts
Heat oil into a saucepan on high heat, then stir-fry curry paste.
Add 100 ml water and then blend in fish sauce, palm sugar and tamarind.
Add beef and coconut milk, cover and cook for 30-45 minutes.
Add potatoes, onions and peanuts with the remaining water, bring back to a simmer and cook for 30 minutes.
Add cherry tomatoes and stir well before removing from heat.
Garnish with thinly sliced red chilli just before serving and serve hot!
