Pickled peppers

Recipe for tasty pickled peppers in oil, which are suitable as a side dish to the main dish.

1. Step

Wash and dry the peppers thoroughly and remove the stem. Then place the peppers in a larger glass container, which you will then seal.

2. Step

In a small saucepan, combine the vinegar, salt, sugar and water and bring the mixture to a boil. Once it starts to boil, add the allspice balls and whole garlic to the pot with the peppers.

3. Step

Then pour the hot mixture over the peppers and squeeze them so they are submerged and coated in the brine. This will ensure that the peppers have plenty of flavor after the brine and will also preserve beautifully.

4. Step

Seal the jar and leave it in a cool place for at least 3 days to allow the flavours to combine and the peppers to marinate well. My experience tells me that the longer you let them sit, the better they get.

5. Step
