Meatballs with tzatziki sauce is a typical Greek dish that mixes all the flavours of the Mediterranean. You can eat the authentic dish, following this homemade Greek meatballs recipe!
- 350 g minced veal
- 1 potato
- 1⁄2 spring onion
- 1 teaspoon tomato paste
- self-rising flour
- 2 tablespoon breadcrumbs
- olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
Peel and finely chop the potato and spring onion.
Put them in a bowl and add the nutmeg, oregano and tomato paste.
Mix and add the minced meat and breadcrumbs. Knead and season.
Make oval-shaped meatballs.
Place in a bowl, cover with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
Then flour and fry in a frying pan with plenty of hot oil until golden brown.
Remove them to a dish with absorbent paper to remove excess oil. Set aside.
Serve 4 Greek meatballs per portion and serve with tzatziki sauce.
