Chicken Schnitzel Burgers
Indulge in these hearty Chicken Schnitzel Burgers, full of crispy golden chicken fillets topped with a refreshing slaw, nestled between soft burger buns. A perfect mix of crunch, tenderness, and tangy appeal, they make a delightful dinner or lunch option.
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1 Cup flour
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups breadcrumbs
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tbls vegetable oil
- 4 burger buns
- 1 Cup slaw mix
- 1⁄2 Cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbl lemon juice
- 1 tbl mustard
Start by flattening the chicken breasts using a meat mallet until they are about 1/2 inch thick.
Season each side of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
Place flour, beaten eggs, and bread crumbs each into separate shallow dishes.
Dredge each chicken breast in flour, followed by eggs and then cover them with bread crumbs.
Heat vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. When it's hot, add the chicken breasts and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown they are cooked thoroughly.
Meanwhile, mix the slaw, mayonnaise, lemon juice, and mustard together in a bowl.
Spread the mixture evenly across the burger buns.
Once the chicken is cooked, place each piece on a burger bun, top with some slaw and close with the other half of the bun.
Serve immediately while the chicken schnitzel is warm and crispy.
