Best Old-Fashioned Savory Beef Mince
Savory Mince is a delicious and versatile main course dish that can be enjoyed with pasta or sandwiches.
- 500 g ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 tbls tomato paste
- 2 tbls Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbls oil
- chopped parsley, for garnish
Heat the olive oil in a pan or skillet on medium heat.
Add the diced onion and minced garlic. Saute until the onion becomes translucent and the garlic fragrant.
Add the ground beef to the pan. Cook until browned, breaking it up into smaller pieces.
Once beef is cooked, add diced bell pepper and carrots. Stir well to combine.
Add the tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, dried oregano, and paprika. Season with salt and pepper according your taste.
Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until vegetables are tender.
Add frozen peas to the pan. Cook for 5 minutes until they're heated through.
Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve and enjoy!
